Senior QA Automation Engineer

Role description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile & API Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for both mobile applications (Android/iOS) and API testing. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Appium and API automation tools such as RestAssured, Postman/Newman, and will be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of mobile apps and backend services through robust automated testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable mobile automation frameworks for Android and iOS platforms.


• Write, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Appium (Java/Python).


• Create, maintain, and execute API automation test scripts using RestAssured, Postman/Newman, or Karate.


• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.).


• Collaborate closely with QA, Development, and Product teams to ensure complete test coverage and timely delivery.


• Perform UI, functional, regression, and smoke testing for new app features and bug fixes.


• Analyse automation test failures, perform root cause analysis, and log detailed defects in JIRA or similar tools.


• Continuously enhance automation frameworks to improve coverage, stability, and execution efficiency.


• Experience in creating test plans, automation strategies, and coverage reports.


• Experience with Cloud Device Farms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm).
