Your Responsibilities
As an Advanced Process Control (APC) Engineer, you will work closely with senior experts to deliver digital solutions, optimize plant performance, and deploy smart control applications across global sites.
Support the delivery of Advanced Process Control (APC) engineering projects on time and to a high standard under the guidance of senior engineers.
Analyze process and plant data to identify opportunities for process optimization and performance improvement.
Assist in developing, configuring, testing, commissioning, and optimizing Advanced Process Control (APC) applications.
Support troubleshooting of process control systems and recommend performance improvements.
Work closely with plant operations and site teams during commissioning, start-up, and optimization activities.
Assist in developing process models and control strategies for mining processes.
Prepare engineering documentation, commissioning reports, technical reports, and project records.
Assist in implementing digital solutions, including Cameras, smart sensors and Industrial IoT (IIoT) devices.
Perform basic system diagnostics and troubleshooting of hardware, software components.
Provide post-commissioning technical support and assist in resolving customer technical issues.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, standardization, and knowledge sharing within the APC team.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies in Advanced Process Control, Digital Twins, Industrial AI, and industrial analytics.
Willingness to travel (approximately 50%) to customer sites within India and internationally.
What You Bring
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized/premier institution:
Preferred: Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing Engineering.
Also Considered: Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering, or related disciplines with a demonstrated interest or project work in industrial automation, process optimization, or process control.
Experience
Fresh graduates and candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
Experience or internship in process automation, Advanced Process Control (APC), industrial control systems, mineral processing, or related industrial engineering is an advantage.
Technical Skills
Process Dynamics: Basic understanding of mineral processing operations (crushing, grinding, flotation, thickening, filtration) and process control fundamentals (PID loops, dynamics, control loop performance).
Automation Exposure: Basic exposure to PLC, DCS, SCADA, or APC technologies and industrial automation systems.
Coding/Data Tools: Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, SQL, or similar programming/scripting languages is a plus.
Advanced Tech (Bonus): Exposure to Model Predictive Control (MPC), fuzzy logic, Digital Twins, modeling/simulation, or Industrial AI / Machine Learning is beneficial but not mandatory.
