Job Responsibilities

This position is responsible /manages sales team for LEA Automation sales territories across India and is responsible to manage P&L by building business under ASG wing. The individual develops and mentors the regional sales team across India with focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets with approved levels of margins, service existing accounts, manage new program launches, and meet the expected level of service, responsiveness, and quality objectives of the customer. The individual will act as liaison between customers, vendors, and internal interdisciplinary sales, engineering, and production teams to build relationships and manage accounts.

• Manages the regional LEA India Automation sales team with focus on selling solutions provided by all LEA Subsidiaries. Assist team in delivering proposals and negotiating contracts/deals with clients.
• Co-ordinate and execute a targeted plan of action to develop and grow/expand sales territories in support of corporate goals and objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with key customers to gain market share.
• Identify new customers and develop relationships at a senior level, engaging company senior management.
• Motivates staff and provides technical direction and guidance, as well as assisting with project management teams, recognizing the role as both manager and support resource / mentor.
  
  

Long Description

• Provide management with sales updates for the territories, as well as monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts defined by the Lincoln Business System (LBS) processes.
• Consult and advise customers, based on our industry leading experience - how to improve productivity by incorporating the very latest in technology and our engineered solutions.
• Ensure that all efforts, communications, transactions, and exchanges of information are continually supporting the corporate vision.
• Communicate with all internal support staff and keep them informed of any and all market developments to stay ahead of competition.
• Assist all customers from a technical perspective as needed.
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and developments in the automation industries served.
• Engage cross-functionally with LEA location engineering, project management, integration, and service teams to coordinate the flow of information between customers and internal stakeholders.
• Work closely with LEA location business development / quoting teams to ensure we have the proper solution and value proposition for each customer proposal.
• Establish strong personal and professional relationships within and outside the organization
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field, plus at least 20 years of related sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Technical capital goods selling experience in the automation industry is preferred.
• Previous work experience in the fabrication industry is preferred
• Ability to understand and present very complex technical solutions Strong presentation skills in order to present technical concepts and solutions to potential clients
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and project management software
• Knowledge and experience in negotiation of contractual terms and conditions, including payment terms and terms of sale
• Must be willing to travel frequently and possibly internationally if required
