Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of thermal spray systems (Plasma, HVOF, Flame Spray, Arc Spray etc).
Diagnose and resolve issues with power supplies, spray guns, feeders, cooling systems, manipulators/robotics, and dust collection units.
Project Management – Installation, commissioning and handover to operations any new / retrofit modification in existing machines with proper MOC activity.
Team Coordination: Assist in the coordination of daily workflow and performance of thermal spray technicians, supporting production goals and shift handoffs.
Conduct root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate with equipment team domestic / international for core system maintenance activity.
Maintain effective inventory control with tight working capital control balancing no line stop condition.
Equipment Management: Monitor and maintain gas supply lines, powder feeders, and control panels for safe and reliable operation.
Troubleshooting: Address issues related to spray operations and escalate complex problems when necessary.
Documentation: Maintain accurate Maintenance records in SAP for tracking purposes.
Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce a strong safety culture by adhering to all protocols, participating in audits, and leading by example.
Continuous Improvement: Lead or assist in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S /6S activities and lean practices.
Team Representation: Represent the company professionally in all situations, maintaining a positive attitude, following direction from supervisors, and protect confidential or internal information.
Flexibility and Adaptability: Must be prepared to take on additional duties as required and assist in other areas of the maintenance & production process when needed. This list does not include all responsibilities of this position.
Required Education, Experience, Knowledge
University degree / diploma in Mechanical / Electronics / Electrical engineering.
Minimum 5-8 years experience as service engineer / Senior engineer in thermal spray industry
Knowledge of HVOF spray processes and equipment, including teardown and rebuild of HVOF guns.
Knowledge of Plasma spray & its process is recommended.
Automation certification would be an added advantage.
