ROLE : Mechanical Design Engineer

SALARY : GBP 35,000 : GBP 45,000 dependent on experience

TYPE : Permanent

LOCATION : Cambridge

My client specialises in Robotics and Automation in the Manufacturing sector. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in the Buckinghamshire area on a permanent basis.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

: HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified or similar in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Design or similar

: At least 2 years experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer in a manufacturing environment

: Proficient with using 3D CAD : SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor or similar

: Able to manage projects and work to deadlines and budgets

: Experienced working to customer specifications and altering designs based on requirements

: Able to maintain technical documentation and BOM entry

: Knowledge of different materials such as sheet metal fabrication

: Innovative, accurate and passionate about design

: Be technically minded with a head for problem solving

: Excellent leadership and organisational skills

: Able to work well individually as well as part of a team

The Mechanical Design Engineer Role Will Involve

: Being responsible for the Design and Development of various automation solutions

: Using 3D CAD software for design on a day:to:day basis

: Developing ideas from concept to production

: Liaising with clients and developing solutions for design specifications

: Collaborating with different departments to ensure the smooth delivery of projects

: Maintaining technical drawings and documentation

: Providing technical guidance and support

: Supporting product Testing, Verification and Validation
