We are looking for a senior financial systems analyst with VBA expertise to drive automation and reporting within our HMH Finance / Treasury organization.

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys hands-on development and building automation solutions—not a traditional reporting-only analyst position.

You will build and maintain critical Access databases, harness AI skills to develop VBA-based automation across Access, Excel and Outlook, and help eliminate manual processes.

What You’ll Do

 Process Engineering / AI / Automation / Reporting & Analytics

• Design, build, and maintain Microsoft Access databases used for financial and operational reporting.
• Harness AI to develop VBA-driven automation across Access, Excel, and Outlook

• Extract, integrate, and transform data from various internal systems.
• Build new and use existing BI datasets and develop reporting to analyze trends.
• Identify and automate manual and repetitive tasks across the teams.

Business Partnership

• Work closely with stakeholders to translate requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Clearly communicate insights and recommendations.
• Manage multiple projects and successfully prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Represent Accounts Receivable on ERP-related projects (SAP ECC 6.0, NetSuite/Oracle, SFDC, etc.)

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

Microsoft Access (Advanced + VBA)

• Hands-on experience building and managing large, complex relational databases.
• Strong expertise in data modeling, transformation, and automation.

Microsoft Excel (Advanced + VBA)

• Complex formulas, data manipulation, and automation.

Microsoft Outlook (VBA / Automation)

• Experience automating email workflows and communication processes.
• Experience creating reports and formulas within various BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
• 8+ years of experience in custom solution-building and process engineering, preferably in finance.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with a “build and improve” mentality
