Senior Engineer

Role Purpose

The role holder is accountable for the completion of the specific Structure design assignment. The purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth execution of the allotted design assignment with best quality and as per the set timelines. The incumbent is also responsible for resolving operational issues to ensure minimal impact on the design delivery timelines and review the Structure designs of the junior team members while creating designs for large complex assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Determine and plan the requirement of resources (time, manpower, etc.) and provide inputs for the design. Assign and inspect the tasks of the junior design team members while working on large complex Structure design assignments.
• Frequent review of design progress and identify underlying deviations from schedule. Review the design creation quality and schedule with the design director and the senior management through daily progress report.
• Ensure that the design deliverables are on time and at the required level of quality compliance with design standards set by the client and government.
• Ensure that all assignment information is appropriately documented and secured through the relevant reporting mechanisms. Resolve any issues related to a specific site and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Ensure that all employee grievances are handled in an appropriate manner with no impact on the delivery timelines and the quality of delivery.
• Apprise the seniors of the design assignment progress for getting design approvals from the client and request for support/ necessary inputs to ensure smooth design delivery.
• Ensure capability building through continuous learning & adopting innovative design approaches.

Indicative Experience and Exposure

• Diploma in Civil/Mechanical/ Electrical with 3-7 years’ experience in design.
• BE/B. Tech with 2-5 years’ experience in design.
• M. Tech with 2-4 years’ experience.
• Experience in handling multiple design work on major part of the delivery.
