Job Description
Arm is seeking a Technical Program Manager – Data Center Post-Silicon to support Solution Engineering (SE) post-silicon validation execution for data center SoC programs. This role applies expert-level program management governance to ensure SE-owned post-silicon work is well planned, rigorously supervised, cost-controlled, and ready against defined exit criteria.
The role works in close partnership with Validation, Design, Systems, and peer TPM teams to provide execution structure, coordination, and oversight for SE post-silicon activities. A core responsibility is collaborating with the Validation organization to build, maintain, and track the post-silicon execution plan from Tape-Out (TO) through readiness for productization of the SoC.
This role emphasizes planning, coordination, tracking, and follow-through, ensuring the SoC meets post-silicon expectations/quality before downstream productization.
What You’ll Be Doing
Provide program management leadership for Solution Engineering post-silicon validation planning and execution tracking on data center SoC programs
Partner Closely With Validation Teams To
- Build and maintain the post-silicon execution schedule from Tape-Out (TO) through readiness for productization
- Track validation activities, dependencies, and readiness achievements
Track and communicate
post-silicon execution status, risks, dependencies, and critical paths within SE scope.
Act as a
central coordination and tracking point for SE post-silicon activities across ASIC design, silicon validation, systems, software, platform, and manufacturing teams.
Ensure
correlation between pre-silicon expectations and post-silicon results, including Functional stability, Performance versus pre-silicon projections, Power versus modeled expectations.
Partner with
pre-silicon, silicon, software, and system TPMs to align assumptions, surface gaps, and support convergence between models and silicon behavior.
Coordinate and facilitate
SE post-silicon execution reviews, triage discussions, and validation syncs, ensuring clear ownership, prioritization, and follow-up.
Coordinate
silicon, hardware, and sample readiness tracking in support of validation schedules.
Track
agreed post-silicon metrics and readiness indicators, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and usefulness.
Track and implement
clear exit criteria for SE post-silicon scope, ensuring SoC readiness for downstream handoff.
Track and handle
SE post-silicon cost compliance, highlighting budget risks and variances early.
Prepare clear, structured status reports, risk summaries, and readiness updates for engineering and program leadership.
Ensure post-silicon issues, gaps, and takeaways are documented and carried forward once the SoC is ready for productization.
What We Need To See
Program Management Expertise (Required)
Expert-level Technical Program Management Experience, With Established Ownership Of
- Complex schedule development and tracking
- Dependency and risk management
- Cost tracking and control
- Execution reporting and follow-through
Formal project / program management training or certification (e.g., PMP) — required.
Expertise with program management and planning tools, including Microsoft Project, execution trackers, and dashboards.
Technical Background (Focused)
- Experience supporting post-silicon validation execution for intricate SoCs.
- Strong understanding of post-silicon validation flows, achievements, and readiness expectations.
- Solid understanding of pre- vs post-silicon correlation, including functional, performance, and power behavior.
- Ability to work credibly with Validation, Design, and Systems teams to handle schedules, risks, and exit criteria.
Core Skills
Strong multi-functional coordination and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to:
- Provide concise, accurate execution visibility upward
- Drive visibility, accountability, and follow-through across teams
Support operating in high-ambiguity, execution-intensive environments.
Success Criteria
Solution Engineering post-silicon validation work for the SoC is fully planned, tracked, and transparent from TO through readiness for productization.
Exit criteria for SE scope are clearly tracked and met.
Post-silicon execution remains within approved cost targets, with risks surfaced early
Validation schedules and dependencies are accurate, current, and actively handled.
Leadership has clear, reliable insight into SE post-silicon execution health.
Downstream teams receive a clean, well-understood handoff of the SoC for productization.
