About the Role -This role requires hands-on technical expertise along with the ability to drive QA excellence, explore emerging technologies, and influence quality practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy -

Drive QA R&D initiatives—continuously explore, evaluate, and introduce new tools, technologies, and testing approaches.

Promote and implement innovative automation and AI-driven testing practices.

Mentor and guide QA/SDET team members to strengthen technical and testing capabilities.

Automation & Framework Ownership -

Design and develop automation frameworks for UI, API, and performance testing.

Establish standardized, reusable baseline frameworks that can be adopted across GALE accounts.

Required Skills & Experience -

• 7+ years of experience in QA, automation, and test strategy with proven SDET competencies.
• Strong understanding of functional testing concepts, test design techniques, and defect lifecycle.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language — Python preferred (Java/JS acceptable).
• Strong hands-on experience with UI/functional automation using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Ability to architect automation frameworks and set organization-wide automation standards.
• Hands-on experience with API automation using Postman/Newman, Karate, or RestAssured.
• Strong experience with performance testing (Locust, JMeter, or similar).
• Good working knowledge of SQL and database validation across relational databases.
• Conceptual understanding of AI/LLM models, with a keen interest in leveraging AI for QA acceleration.
• Ability to think strategically, challenge existing approaches, and drive continuous improvement in QA processes.
