Systems Engineer Senior Associate

Shift: 2 pm – 11 pm IST

Willing to extend weekend support as required by the project needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expert (SME) level consultation to clients on matters of data center technologies. These technologies include storage systems: SAN and NAS; virtualization platforms: VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V and the associated host (server) hardware platforms that support virtualization platforms; virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI): VMware and Citrix solutions; Microsoft Active Directory and associated on-premises server technologies; as well as backup, replication, and disaster recovery systems and methodologies. Maintain expert-level knowledge of these evolving technologies.
• Develop data center architecture for clients, including assisting with the creation of designs, documentations, product quotes, bills of materials, implementation plans, and policies to support clients’ data center infrastructure. Assist with creating statements of work for client project opportunities to drive profitability.
• Create, update, modify, and verify internal documentation, procedures, implementation guides, and minimum engagement standards documents to meet changing industry needs and to adhere to well-architected and cyber security best practices. Update client-specific documentation on a recurring basis.
• Design, implement, configure, and optimize client data center technologies according to firm-established standards. Adhere to statements of work and ensure projects are completed within the scope and estimated time allocated.
• Provide data center technology support for clients’ when issues are escalated beyond the capabilities of Tier 1 or Tier 2 support structure.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships across departments, business units, partners, and vendors
• Work with team leadership to innovate new, creative, and unique solutions, service offerings, and products for current and prospective firm clients.

Qualifications

• Overall minimum 5years and 2 -5 years of relevant experience.
• English language skills – both spoken and written comprehension required.
• Expert-level knowledge of one or more of the following areas required:
• VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V
• Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) solutions (Dell EMC, HPE, Nutanix, NetApp or VMware, and/or Azure Stack HCI)
• VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and / or Azure Virtual Desktop
• Veeam Backup and Replication
• NetApp ONTAP
  
  

• Strong working knowledge of network technologies (all required) including:
• OSI model
• Routing and switching concepts
• IP addressing and subnetting
• Firewall concepts
• Virtualization concepts
• Storage concepts
• Database concepts (SQL and other RDS solutions)
• Hybrid cloud concepts
• Windows server upgrades
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory / Entra ID
• Microsoft Windows Server 2016 – 2025 and Active Directory
• Group Policy Objects
• Active Directory users and groups administration
• Azure AD Connector
• Active Directory upgrades
• Troubleshooting of server/host hardware required
  
  

• Strong working knowledge of on-premises server technologies (all required) including:
• DNS
• DHCP
• Certificate Services
• NTP
• SMTP
• SNMP
• Working knowledge of cyber security concepts preferred
• VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCloud/NSX experience preferred
• Ability to read, modify, and create PowerShell scripts preferred
• Working knowledge of the design, implementation, administration, and optimization of Linux platforms preferred
• Experience with administration of hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) platforms preferred
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills required
• Professional-level certification(s) in any Data Center Team technology or products, or willingness/ability to earn certification within first 4 months of employment - such as VMWare Certified Professional (VCP)
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or similar discipline, or equivalent work history/experience or working towards achieving a degree
• Experience in team collaboration required
