Job Summary (Brief overview on the scope of job responsibility):

• Perform inspections as and when assigned in accordance to Client and BV guidelines.
  
  

Interrelationships (Other Key Functional Or Communicational Lines)

• Communicate with Supervisor and Manager for any enquiry and technical support.
• Communicate with coordinators and report reviewers as needed.
  
  

Job Responsibility & Accountability (Key Roles, functions & accountability):

• Manage the operations of the station office (if assigned).
• Fully understand and conduct inspections independently / as a member of the inspection team as per the SOP / Field instructions.
• Effective communication with office staff and factory representative.
• Prepare inspection reports which are complete, comprehensive and presented in a manner consistent with Client / BV guidelines.
• Ensure that Code of Conduct and Jon Completion Summary are completely filled and submitted to office within the required time.
• Participate in all the training courses as and when scheduled.
• Fully understand and comply with the requirements of ISO 17020 standards such as controlling and filing of all relevant documents, draft and final audit reports.
• Clarify all inspection related queries with Supervisor and Manager.
• Ensure confidentiality of information obtained during the course of employment in BV.
• Ensure that the equipment / other infrastructure provided by company are not mishandled / damaged.
• Support the Supervisor / Manager / for any other job as assigned.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualification:-

• A university degree and above or diploma in the field of Textile / Manufacturing / Quality management / Engineering or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 1 - 3 years (for inspector) in buying office, factory.
• Good command of English and local language, both oral and written.
• Good knowledge of computers.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Attention to detail and process improvement skills.
• Must be confident, highly efficient and self-motivated.
• High level of integrity.
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Long Description 2

Structural inspections and develop rectification schemes for deteriorated structures. The following plants are to be inspected over a duration of 12 months.

• OBP-2
• RMHS – 4MT,7MT and 10MT
• Sinter plant - 1,2,3&4
• Pellet plant – 1,2 & 3
• Blast furnace -1,2,3&4
• SMS -1,2 & 3 & related auxiliary units
• Coke oven 3 & 4
• EMD structures (Trestles & Galleries)
• CRM 1 , 2 & its service center.
• HSM 1 @ 2
• WRM1@2, BRM 1@ 2
• Corex 1 & 2
• LCP 1,2 @3
• ACL & ACL service centers.
• The Engineer shall inspect the whole structure from base to roof top of structure, which includes columns base plate, foundation bolts, bracings, tie beams, girder cap plates, crane rails, crane girder, walk way, surge plate, auxiliary girder, end plates, column to girder connection members, wind girders, roof girder, rafters, roof grit beams between the rafters, roof top dust accumulations, gutter, down take pipes, staircases, different level of floors, end connections, conveyor systems, pipe galleries, cable galleries. Etc.,
• Engineers can do the chemical and mechanical property test if they want to identify the route cause, it can be done at Clients lab.
• Client will do nondestructive test like, UT, MPT and DPT on requirement basis as per the direction of service engineer.
• The engineer also check the structural verticality, straightness of the structures, levels and coordinates. Client will arrange the required helpers & surveyors.
• The rectification shall be done under the supervision of consulting agency’s engineer. After execution re-inspection and final certification is consulting agency scope.
• The engineers qualification shall be a minimum of 7 years of experience for diploma holders and a minimum of 4 years for those with a Bachelors degree in engineering.
