Job Overview
TE Connectivitys Quality team is responsible for all or part of an organizations Quality Management System, including conformance and continuous improvement initiatives. They work on systemic evaluation of products, manufacturing, or business processes, to ensure that standards of quality are being met. Develop and implement quality plans, programs and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. They review, analyze and report on quality discrepancies, investigate problems and executes quality audits, and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. The team works closely with manufacturing, engineering, customers, or suppliers and subcontractors to ensure requirements are met.
Job Requirements
- Improve customer satisfaction through Quality way.
- Lead and develop Quality subordinates for organizational performance.
- Offer exceptional support to customers and team, ensuring quality standards on time.
- Should have experience in the past on aerospace Migration / transfer projects from end to end.
- Exposure on Stage Gate/ Gate review Mechanism related Processes
- Build relationships with Production, Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
- Solve Quality issues through root cause analysis preferably 8D and drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain stable Measurement systems and report Monthly Quality metrics timely.
- Provide training in statistical methods and Quality tools to Drive daily process improvement actions with cross functional teams & monthly metrics as per the timeline.
- Sound Knowledge & practical examples of implementing APQP & PPAP is needed
- Handle internal changes per global change management procedure.
- Customer handling for closure of actions, visits & necessary documents.
- Hands on experience on Implementing Zero defect Process & Culture is essential
- Detailed awareness on Testing knowledge is essential i.e. Electrical, Mechanical & Environmental.
- Demonstrated exposure in Problem solving & Root cause Corrective actions.
What Your Background Should Look Like
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / electrical / Electronics
- Six-Sigma or ASQ certification is must.
- A minimum of 12 years’ experience in working in Manufacturing, preferable more than 3-5 years’ experience working in leadership role managing Quality. 4-5 years in electronic industry involving aerospace products assembly and manufacturing.
- 7 + years of experience in Quality management/Assurance Role.
- Knowledge of Electronics manufacturing is preferable, combined with explicit knowledge on Quality tools, Systems and Processes, FMEA, Control plans, PPAP.
