About The Role

The Platform Engineering team (Compute, Network, Storage, Reliability and Hardware engineering, Corporate IT and more) lies within the broader Uber Engineering group. The mission of the Platform Engineering team is to "Empower One Uber to innovate by building a world-class foundation that accelerates growth at scale".

We are looking for a strong Engineer to contribute to the technical roadmap and deliver our next generation of MySQL platform, powering all business-critical workloads at Uber.

What youll do

• Contribute to team efforts in enhancing the customer experience through technical innovation and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with team engineers to resolve product ambiguities.
• Build and improve MySQL offering for all business-critical workloads at Uber.
  
  

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Go, C++, Java etc
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with large-scale system efficiently.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with any of the Database technologies such as MySQL, Postgress, DynamoDB, Redis, Cassandra, YugaByte, CockroachDB, Spanner, CosmosDB, RDS and VectorDB
• Familiarity with distributed system concepts and experience of building robust control plane.
