Our team is responsible for creating the best delivery experience for transporters wherever they deliver packages using their favorite Android or iOS devices. As a Software Development Engineer within the Delivery Technology Organization you will contribute to building highly scalable distributed systems that power fast, fluid, and interactive experiences on mobile devices worldwide.

Key job responsibilities

Our team forms the foundation of the Amazon Flex platform, supporting multiple feature teams and enabling hundreds of thousands of delivery partners worldwide. We pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, where knowledge sharing and architectural discussions are central to our workflow. The teams in-depth engineering practices and robust system design have resulted in excellent platform stability. We maintain efficient operations and well-structured on-call processes. Our emphasis on continuous learning and professional development creates an environment where team members can grow their skills while delivering impactful solutions at scale

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
