The Challenge: GMT Supplier Management and PO Lifecycle Tech is seeking passionate and innovative Sr. Software Development Engineers who are committed to Nourishing People and the Planet to join our newly formed Engineering Services team. This team will tackle some of our most complex and challenging projects, delivering innovative technical solutions to advance the retail grocery industry.

The Team: Our vision is to create a unified supplier management platform that enables seamless "One Amazon" experiences where every grocery supplier can onboard once, manage their business across all Amazon grocery channels through self-service tools, and deliver products efficiently with full visibility and compliance throughout the supply chain.

The Role: As a Sr. Software Development Engineer on the WW GST team, you will be a technical leader who drives architectural decisions and mentors other engineers. Everyone on the team needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats, and work in a highly collaborative environment. You will help tackle a diverse landscape of technical challenges in this early-stage initiative, playing an active role in translating business requirements into concrete systems and prototyping concepts in partnership with Amazon technology leaders within the team and across the business.

You will design, develop, and deploy reliable distributed solutions that operate at Amazon scale, setting technical standards and best practices for the team. You will work with a variety of core languages and technologies including Java, Linux, and AWS services. You will tackle challenging, novel situations every day and will have the opportunity to redefine an industry while working with different teams across Amazon and Whole Foods Market. As a senior engineer, youll provide technical leadership, conduct design reviews, and influence the technical direction of multiple projects.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
• 8+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 8+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
