What You Will Do

Scope:. Harman Automotive is looking for a motivated and passionate presentation designer to support pre-sales and solution efforts. Role require understanding of Harman products and services and ability to take our go-to-market strategy in a compelling way in customer pursuits. The ideal candidate stays on top of the latest presentation trends, while possessing unparalleled expertise in Google Slides, PowerPoint, Keynote, and other presentation mediums (e.g., video, Prezi, Miro, etc.).

Key Accountabilities:

• Create presentations in various formats, visible on desktop and mobile, that move from standard slide by slide walkthroughs to compelling stories even on the most seemingly mundane topics.
• Manage your own timelines to ensure tight delivery deadlines can be met.
• Collaborate with non-Designers, who may only have a vague understanding of their need, to co-create a plan for executing a quality presentation.
• Communicate design / presentation choices clearly.
• Turn paragraphs of text into compelling & clear visuals.
• Represent the Experience Design team both within and outside of Harman in a way that continues our reputation of effective, trend-aware, collaborative, & user-centered designs.
• Consider mediums outside of the norm (when appropriate) and ensure usability of these formats even when you’re not in the room (e.g., Prezi).
• Source and manage licenses for images, icons, etc. and edit as needed.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, clients, and key stakeholders.
• Respond positively and calmly to shifting priorities, demands, and timeline.
• Collaborate effectively with remote team members.
• Provide thought-leadership on the latest presentation trends and capabilities for the Experience Design team and beyond.
• Ensure correctness in all of your work (i.e., spelling, grammar, consistency, etc.).
  
  

What You Need To Be Successful

• 3-5 years’ experience or in-depth presentation & design knowledge
• Extensive knowledge and experience understanding presentation needs and executing on strategies and plans to create effective presentations.
• Experience using industry-standard software, tools and methodologies (PowerPoint, Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Prezi, Miro etc.)
• Expert communication skills - written, verbal, and presentation.
• Ability to consume and understand brand identities and voices quickly and well-enough to apply them to presentations.
• Ability to understand the overall journey, purpose, and audience of a presentation and cater narratives to fit that journey, purpose, and audience.
• Strong design-eye and proclivity for visualization even when faced with large amounts of data or content.
• Knowledge of web-based technologies and their impact on all industries.
• Creative problem-solver with the ability to work with a blank slate and inspire others.
• Intellectual and curious with a passion for storytelling.
• Basic Project Management skills and ability to perform under tight timelines.
• Experience pivoting and navigating dynamic and changing situations.
• Proactive, self-sufficient and professional, with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Passionate and enthusiastic about delivering powerful presentations.
• Willingness to work remotely and in multiple time zones as needed.
• Strong portfolio samples required.
