Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in a technical project management or a customer-facing role.
  • Experience in Design and implement data and rater quality control methodologies experiments, to deliver process improvements.
  • Experience conducting analysis on data to deliver insights to partner teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing projects and working with analytics, software coding, or customer-side web technologies.
  • 3 years of experience in crowdsourcing data, machine learning, or human computation.
  • Experience with analytics including querying data, generating descriptive analyses, and interpreting results.

About the jobIn this role, you will be dedicated to improving the quality of apps and games available in the Play Store. Youll work alongside Product and Engineering teams to maintain app data quality standards across form factors, including phones, screens, wear, and other future products. You’ll leverage evaluations to scalably improve quality across Play, and be responsible for driving performance and industry standard KPIs.The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Googles various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our users interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with subject matter experts (e.g., app or game specialists) to design and implement rater training, data collection questionnaires, and measure rater accuracy, reliability and agreement.
  • Manage an extensive rater program including data quality and tactical process improvements, including direct rater interventions like training, calibrations and exams.
  • Own refining and iterating on Plays quality guidelines to drive high quality user experiences across form factors.
  • Operate in a high-paced, changing work environment and prioritize multiple functions and tasks, manage time efficiently, and navigate ambiguity.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to improve training, task standards, tools, and processes driven by data analysis, and work with engineers and data science to devise approaches to answer questions about specific title types or broader data quality.
