Your Impact

In this role, you will drive the invent and development of next-generation Control Plane and Data Plane software for Cisco’s Networking and Network Security platforms, integrating IIoT hardware and software seamlessly. You will translate complex requirements into scalable, high-performance solutions, lead key features, innovate new IP, and contribute to the security and reliability of Cisco’s global infrastructure. Key responsibilities include developing BSPs, device drivers, and kernel modules, performing develop analysis, unit testing, and automation, and debugging and prioritizing issues to support software bring-up and innovation initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Seeking a Senior Software Engineer with 4+ years with below expertise

• Proficient in C/C++ with strong experience in Linux/RTOS/Unix, including kernel, device drivers, and BSP development.
• Hands-on experience in networking software/firmware, covering control plane, data plane, and L2/L3 protocols.
• Skilled in debugging, verification, and performance optimization for networking systems.
• Scripting expertise in Python, Perl, TCL, or Shell for automation and testing.
• Experience with traffic analyzers (IXIA/Sniffer), security protocols, or peripheral interfaces (PCI, PCIe, I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO, Ethernet)

• Cisco Networking certificates such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE
• Excellent communication and strategic planning skills, while being self-motivated with a focus on execution.
