We are seeking an experienced software development engineer to be part of a team working on a confidential new product. The ideal candidate is an innovative self-starter who is looking for an opportunity to be both an individual contributor and technical lead. Alexa Smart Home App team is at the forefront of creating exceptional user experiences. We are looking for a passionate and skilled App Developer to join our dynamic team. If you are enthusiastic about building intuitive and engaging mobile interfaces, we would love to hear from you.

As an App Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality mobile applications using React Native and Swift/Kotlin. Your primary focus will be on implementing engaging and responsive user interfaces, ensuring the best possible performance, and collaborating with our team of developers, designers, and product managers to deliver outstanding mobile experiences in the Smart Home space.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native and Swift/Kotlin.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Optimize components for maximum performance.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Work closely with the backend team to integrate APIs and services.
• Debug and fix issues, and improve application performance.
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 2+ years of building production software experience
• 3+ years of programming using a modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design experience
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
• 2+ years of Apple platform development experience
• 1+ years of Android development experience
