Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and innovative SDEs to be part of our founding Project Amazon Leo Commerce team in India. This role will be instrumental in establishing and growing our presence in the region, while developing critical commerce systems for Amazon Leos global operations.

Export Control Requirement: This position may require access to information, technology, or hardware that is subject to export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Arms Regulations (ITAR). Employment in this position is contingent upon obtaining any required export licenses or other approvals from the United States government. As such, the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain any necessary export licenses or approvals based on their nationality, citizenship, and any other factors considered by the applicable export control regulations

Key job responsibilities

• Actively participate in overall product strategy and UI presentation.
• Design and implement globally available distributed cloud architectures.
• Partners with AWS, retail e-commerce, networking, and security engineering teams.
• Be involved in every aspect of the UI for new features – from idea generation, exploring different design options, and technical design through software development using the latest technologies and design patterns.
• Collaborate with Software Development Engineers, Product Managers, and UX Designers to ensure the best experience for our customers.
  
  

A day in the life

Have you wanted an opportunity to develop software applications and services for an advanced global telecom service? This role is for a SDE who will design, build, and maintain components and services of Amazon Leos Commerce Systems and interact with the core e-commerce and Kuiper network teams.

About The Team

Our team owns developing the architecture, solutions & roadmap for managing the global customer lifecycle for telecom commerce services; for example, identity and account management, subscriber management services, user provisioning, billing and payments, customer and technical support tools, offer management tools, and customer metrics and analytics.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
