Job Function: Site Lead India
Job Family: General Engineering & Administration Management
As the Site Lead India, you will be the anchor for our new site in Bangalore. You will wear multiple hats, acting as both a technical and personal mentor to our R&D engineers and the operational backbone for the facility. Your primary mission is to build a thriving, collaborative environment, manage the day-to-day office operations, ensure audit readiness, and drive the final stages of our India setup.
Key Responsibilities
Team Cohesion & Culture: Cultivate a collaborative, engaged, and supportive engineering team environment. Organize team meetings, foster cross-functional collaboration, and maintain high morale during rapid growth.
Engineering Support: Understand the daily needs of R&D engineers to ensure they have the tools, resources, and environment necessary for innovation (hardware, software, labs, etc.).
Office Set-up & Operations: Lead the operational management of the office facility, including workspace optimization, vendor management, and infrastructure setup.
LE Set-up & Compliance: Support the final steps of the India setup, ensuring all local regulatory, safety, and administrative requirements are met.
Audit Support & Quality: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits. Enforce documentation policies, compliance, and quality standards within the R&D environment.
Requirements
Background: Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, etc.) or relevant scientific field.
Experience: 8+ years of experience in R&D or technical product development, with at least 4+ years in a leadership or site management role.
Operational Skills: Proven experience in office setup, facilities management, or operationalizing a new technical site.
People Leadership: Strong empathy and ability to mentor engineers, boost morale, and keep a team united.
Compliance: Experience with audit preparation, safety standards (EHS), or quality systems.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of liaising between local technical teams and global management.

The role will start as a work-from-home remote position but will turn into a physical presence in an office role in Bangalore.
