Role overview

As a Senior Video Editor at apna, you will lead end-to-end editing across performance

marketing, social-first content, long-form YouTube videos, podcasts, and event coverage. You

will also create motion graphics for product launches and campaigns, and ensure every output

is adapted perfectly for each platform and format.

Requirements

Key responsibilities

1) Performance marketing videos

● Edit high-performing ads for Meta, Google, and other digital platforms

● Create multiple variations of the same asset for A/B testing (hooks, pacing, captions,

CTAs, length)

● Adapt videos into different dimensions and placements (1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 16:9) while

retaining clarity and performance

2) Social media content (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube)

● Edit short-form content for Instagram Reels, LinkedIn videos, and YouTube Shorts

● Deliver platform-optimized versions with the right pacing, typography, subtitles, and

format

● Convert long-form edits into high-retention shorts and snackable cut-downs

3) Long-form YouTube videos

● Edit long-format videos for YouTube with strong narrative flow and viewer retention

● Build strong intros, mid-roll pacing, sound design, and seamless transitions

● Create YouTube-ready packaging support assets when needed (end screens, lower

thirds, branded frames)

4) Podcast

● Edit video and audio podcasts with clean pacing and high clarity

● Add multi-cam cuts, jump cuts, graphics, captions, and audio cleanup basics

● Create short clips and highlights from podcasts for distribution

5) Event coverage

● Edit event coverage videos, recaps, and highlight reels

● Create multiple versions for internal and external use (short recap, detailed coverage,

speaker clips)

6) Motion graphics for product and campaign videos

● Create motion graphics and visual systems for product launch videos and brand

campaigns

● Design and animate text, UI callouts, transitions, and on-screen storytelling elements

● Collaborate with brand designers to ensure consistency and polish

Must-have skills and requirements

Experience

● 5 to 7 years of professional video editing experience

● Strong portfolio across performance marketing, social-first edits, and long-format videos

Tools (mandatory)

● Strong command over Adobe Creative Suite, including:

○ Adobe Premiere Pro

○ Adobe After Effects

○ (Bonus) Photoshop, Illustrator

Editing and storytelling

● Strong sense of pacing, rhythm, sound design, typography, and visual composition

● Strong understanding of formats, platform best practices, and dimension adaptations

● Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-output environments

AI tools (preferred)

● Familiarity with AI-based tools for ideation and b-rolls, such as:

○ Gemini, ChatGPT, MidJourney, Runway, Veo 3.1, and more
