You will do:

This is a Senior Software Engineer at Ericsson R&D Bangalore where you get to work with a team of highly motivated engineers in delivering Ericssons Multimedia Telephony Application Server (MTAS) features for VoLTE, VoWifi and other IMS enabled solutions.

MTAS is Ericsson’s Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) application server for IP telephony and multimedia which meets all necessary large network telephony requirements. It is designed for Voice over LTE (VoLTE) enhanced with multimedia and convergence with PSTNs. MTAS is part of Ericssons IMS solution portfolio.

Within MTAS Development organization, Agile methodology and philosophy are practiced in spirit. A relatively flat system of cross-functional teams reporting into line managers who then report to a Development Center Head.

You will bring:

• 5-8 years of overall telecom design experience.
• Proven hands-on experience in Python development, including advanced Python concepts.
• Strong understanding and implementation experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Hands-on Experience in designing custom data structures and solving algorithmic problems
• Experience in OpenStack environment using KVM/VMware hypervisors
• Solid understanding of Cloud-Native technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, containers, microservices)
• Hands-on experience in microservices-based application development.
• Creative problem-solving skills and excellent troubleshooting / debugging skills
• Working knowledge of C++ programming is a plus.
• Good understanding of IMS nodes, SIP, Diameter protocols
• Knowledge of modern DevOps practices, workflows, and tools
