 We are looking for a principal AI applied scientist to join our Industry agents team! You will play a pivotal role in advancing Microsofts mission to empower every individual and organization on the planet to achieve more. You will contribute to the development and integration of cutting-edge AI technologies into Microsoft products and services, ensuring they are inclusive, ethical, and impactful. You will collaborate across product, research and engineering teams to bring innovative industry solutions to life, applying your expertise in machine learning, data science, and AI to solve complex problems across industries like financial services, government, manufacturing and retail. Responsibilities

**1. Solution Development with Power Platform**

Ability to design and build scalable solutions using **Power Apps**, **Power Automate**, and **Dataverse**.

Understand connectors, data integration, and low-code/no-code patterns for enterprise-grade applications.

**2. Architecture and Integration**

Strong grasp of **solution architecture** principles for Power Platform.

Ensure integration with Microsoft 365, Azure services, and line-of-business systems while maintaining compliance and

governance.

**3. DevOps and Lifecycle Management**

Experience with **ALM (Application Lifecycle Management)** for Power Platform solutions.

Implement CI/CD pipelines, manage environments, and automate deployments using Azure DevOps.

**4. Extensibility and Customization**

Ability to extend platform capabilities through **custom connectors**, **plugins**, and **configuration packages**.

Familiarity with governance controls, version compatibility, and secure extensibility practices.

**5. Data-Driven Decision Making**

Proficiency in analyzing **usage telemetry** and customer data to improve product health and user experience.

Apply insights to optimize workflows and enhance reliability.

**6. Collaboration and Growth Mindset**

Demonstrated ability to work across teams, drive reuse, and foster an inclusive environment.

Embrace continuous learning and experimentation to improve processes and outcomes.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR equivalent experience.
  

Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the
• Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  
  

Travel: Occasional travel (0% to 25%) may be required as part of this role.
