Senior Java Developer With AWS F M X

You will be part of a high-visibility, strategic project for IG Group, focused on building a next-generation mobile trading application for the APAC market (Singapore, Australia, Japan, Dubai). This is a senior-level role where you’ll contribute to both technical decision-making and cross-team collaboration within a strong international setup across the UK, Poland, and India.

The project leverages modern cloud-native and serverless technologies to deliver a highly scalable, secure, and performance-driven trading platform used by thousands of customers across the region. You will work in an event-driven, microservices-based architecture, ensuring seamless asynchronous communication and high system resilience.

Your tasks

• Designing and developing Java (11+) microservices using Spring Boot to support core trading platform functionalities
• Building and managing cloud-native solutions on AWS, including Lambda, ECS, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, and Step Functions for scalable and reliable systems
• Implementing event-driven architecture to enable asynchronous communication and high-throughput data processing across services
• Automating infrastructure and deployments using CloudFormation and AWS SAM to ensure consistent, secure, and efficient releases
• Collaborating with global agile teams across the UK, Poland, and India to deliver a high-impact mobile trading application for the APAC market
  
  

Requirements

• Strong expertise in building scalable, high-performance backend services like Java & Spring Boot
• AWS Cloud & Serverless – Hands-on with Lambda, ECS, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, and event-driven architectures
• Design asynchronous, resilient, and distributed systems Microservices & Event-Driven Systems
• Experience with CI/CD & DevOps Practices CloudFormation, AWS SAM, automated deployments, and monitoring
• Working effectively in global Scrum teams with strong analytical and debugging skills
