Job Purpose

Sr Engineering Lead understands the software development lifecycle and various automation tools for building digital pipelines. The role collaborates with executive leadership, product owners, developers, and testers to plan, develop, and implement solutions that optimise and automate business and technical processes, translating product vision into reality.

Roles & Responsibilities

Key / Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business analysts to clarify scope, resolve gaps in requirements and user stories.
  • Develop and drive action plans for process‑improvement areas.
  • Provide timely updates to business units and keep stakeholders informed of progress and risks.
  • Apply deep knowledge of application‑lifecycle management to interpret customer business needs and processes.
  • Demonstrate supportive, collaborative management in a team environment and strong customer‑facing skills.
  • Leverage CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, SFDC DX/IDX, Copado) to automate pipelines.
  • Analyse current technology landscape; design and implement steps to enhance and expand capabilities.
  • Participate in internal meetings to review solutions, dependencies, actions, and timelines.
  • Partner with developers, testers, and system engineers to ensure high‑quality product enhancements.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Recommend improvements to processes and policies across the Digital Banking business to drive operational efficiencies and high‑quality customer service.
  • Leverage in‑house synergies through collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities

  • Monitor key productivity, hiring quality, and attrition metrics; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Champion the “customer‑first” culture by driving the team to adopt high‑service standards and ensure absolute customer delight.
  • Attract and retain best‑in‑class talent for critical roles within the reporting structure.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering continuous development.
  • Monitor and measure customer experience and related KPIs.

Education

  • Graduate Degree: BE/BTech or equivalent in Computer Science or related fields – University (Premier/Tier 1, II)
  • Post‑Graduate Degree: Any – University (Premier/Tier 1, II)

Experience

  • Years of Experience: 5‑8+ years
  • Industries: Banking, IT
