Senior Devops Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Devops Engineer.

You’ll make a difference by:

• Operate, maintain, document, and improve an Openshift 4-based Mendix Platform in a secure data center.
• Handle customer support tickets related to operational issues, including project onboarding/offboarding, migration, sizing, and general platform support.
• Forward development-related cases to the Mendix support team.
• Perform small infrastructure tasks, such as building container-based internal documentation solutions.
• Support Azure-based deployments for EDI Next Gen projects, including automation and security compliance.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, ensuring code quality and security through tools like SonarQube.
  
  

You’ll win us over by:

• Strong Linux expertise, especially RHEL.
• Deep knowledge of Openshift 4 / Kubernetes (Project/Namespace level).
• Advanced container skills (building and debugging Docker images).
• Experience with Openshift/Kubernetes Operators.
• Hands-on experience with Postgres and operator distributions (CrunchyDB or Fujitsu Enterprise).
• Basic understanding of Mendix Private Cloud Operator.
• GitLab user-level proficiency.
• Familiarity with automation tools: Jenkins, Tekton, ArgoCD, Helm.
• Strong expertise in Azure Virtual Machines and Azure Networking (VNets, NSGs, connectivity).
• Experience with Azure Container Apps and Azure Functions.
• Advanced container image building/debugging for Azure Container Registry.
• Expert-level automation using Azure Bicep templates integrated with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab).
• Experience integrating SonarQube for code quality and security scanning.
  
  

Soft Skills

• Fluent in English (German is a plus but not mandatory).
• Ability to work independently on complex issues and collaborate effectively in a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for interdepartmental coordination and customer interactions.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Entry-level Low-code/Mendix knowledge.
• Exposure to modern DevOps practices and security compliance in high-security environments.
