You will have opportunity to closely work with teams who are building Agentic AI powered CX.

You will be responsible for building observability framework and telemetry for next generation of CX powered by LLMs at enterprise scale. As a senior engineer, youll be a technical leader responsible for architectural decisions and mentoring that shape both our data platforms and team members.

Key job responsibilities

  • Were seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the technical strategy and architecture of our data products and infrastructure.
  • Youll define and drive the technical vision, mentor engineers across multiple levels, and drive innovation in how we process, store, and utilize data across the shopping organization.
  • You will lead redefining analytics in the age of agentic experiences and Generative BI.
  • Youll own build data systems that can scale to PB and streaming data with 100K TPS
  • You will be responsible for building data products that power mission critical analytical reports and metrics for Amazon AI products that are viewed at the highest levels in the organization.
  • You will get the exciting opportunity to work on very large data sets in one of the worlds largest and most complex data warehouse environments.
  • You will work closely with the business and technical teams in analysis on many non-standard and unique business problems and use creative-problem solving to deliver actionable output.
  • You should have deep expertise in the design, creation, management, and business use of extremely large datasets.
  • You will utilize Agentic AI to build data products and solutions

A day in the life

You will be driving architecture decisions on scaling LLM data applications, accelerating the data product release cadence and reducing cost to serve, leveraging AI innovations on data products and systems, design discussion with engineering teams for instrumentation and collaborating with with other internal teams to integrate your data products with theirs.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of data engineering experience
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
  • Experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR
  • Experience with MPP databases such as Amazon Redshift
  • Experience building large-scale, high-throughput, 24x7 data systems
  • Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
  • Knowledge of batch and streaming data architectures like Kinesis, Flink
  • Experience with advanced AI/ML data infrastructure and LLMs
