Senior Clinical Specialist – Ultrasound

Role Overview

The Senior Clinical Specialist provides advanced clinical expertise to support ultrasound product development, internal clinical testing, external clinical evaluations, and customer engagements. This role acts as a key clinical interface between customers, clinical partners, and internal R&D teams to ensure delivery of high-quality, clinically relevant ultrasound solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Cardiac Care Technology, Radiology Imaging, or related clinical science
• 5–8+ years of clinical experience as a cardiac sonographer or senior ultrasound clinician
• Strong expertise with Siemens ultrasound systems (experience with Philips/GE is a plus)
• Experience collaborating with R&D, Product Management, Engineering, or UX teams
• Knowledge of clinical evaluations, usability testing, and healthcare software validation
• Familiarity with regulatory and quality processes (IEC standards, usability engineering, clinical validation)
  
  

• Independently perform and interpret complex Echocardiography and Ultrasound examinations
• Execute and support internal clinical testing, including workflow validation, image quality assessment, feature verification, and usability evaluations
• Support external clinical evaluations, validations, and research collaborations at partner sites
• Lead product demonstrations and clinical system evaluations at customer locations
• Evaluate image quality, optimize protocols, and identify workflow and performance gaps
• Collect structured clinical feedback and translate insights into actionable inputs for R&D and product teams
• Travel locally/regionally to support clinical collaborations and customer engagements
  
  

• Mentor junior clinical specialists and support clinical capability development
• Provide clinical leadership during prototype evaluations and feature validation phases
• Contribute to internal training, best-practice sharing, and clinical documentation
• Represent Siemens Healthineers as a senior clinical expert in internal and external engagements
