Role description:
We are now recruiting talented individuals to fill our current vacancy for Senior BIM Modeler to
work on our projects.
To be considered for a role we are seeking candidates with the following credentials:
Role accountabilities:
- Assist in planning and execution of BIM projects as per BIM Level 2 standards.
- Production, Detailing and verification of BIM models and Drainage drawings such
as General arrangement, plan profile, cross-sections, standard details, pipe networks,
corridors for highway / Urban projects both 2D and 3D independently and lead teams to
produce same.
- Effectively manage own and team time across multiple projects & fulfill responsibilities.
- Perform Quality assurance checks on all deliverable to ensure CAD/BIM standard
compliance & other project specific elements, including but not limited to layers, styles,
title blocks, naming conventions, text parameters etc. across multiple projects.
- Taking responsibility for technical quality assurance and client feedback and ensuring
effective communication of any changes/ modifications across multiple projects.
- Collaborate and Coordinate with other disciplines to mitigate design challenges.
- Proactively engaging with various Arcadis Regional offices/ teams regarding resolving
issues and create strong relationships with project colleagues in the regions, evidenced
through great feedback.
- Liaising with and assisting the design professional and BIM Manager / Coordinator.
- Adhere to the schedule and quality Checks and PCRA requirements.
- Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall
design.
- Develop and grow team capabilities to as per business requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria.
- Develop BIM content standards and development procedures and assist in developing
new processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma /BE in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.
- 6+ years’ relevant experience. Minimum of 4 years of working experience for International
Design Projects for Road Drainage / Urban Drainage and a minimum of 2 years of working
experience for US or UK projects in delivering on various multiple project deliverables with BIM
compliance.
Software Expectations:
- High Proficiency in AutoCAD/MicroStation, Civil 3D/Open Roads to prepare BIM Models
and drawings.
- Advanced knowledge of relevant BIM Authoring tools.
- Good understanding of interoperability between software used to accomplish own
discipline tasks.
- Specific knowledge in Design Automation (Scripting, LISP, VBA, .NET, Dynamo Etc.) will
be an added advantage.
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time.
Required competencies:
- Good management skills.
- Excellent technical knowledge, academically good.
- Advanced Experience in software’s used for BIM modelling.
- Good understanding of BIM Level 2 processes & workflows
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office.
- A strong, self-motivated and assertive person capable of working under pressure and
leading team.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
and manage teams.
- Flexible to adopt new work /challenge work as per business requirement
