Key Responsibilities

• Be the quality-custodian of the product and own end-to-end, front-end, server-side and API-based automation testing by employing the most suitable tools and technologies for the task at hand.
• Build/extend/maintain the test automation framework‬.
• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools, Mandatory skill is Cypress (minimum two-year experience), any JavaScript based automation tool (Playwright/Protractor etc.) and SQL.
• Experience in designing and implementing comprehensive testing strategies for microservices-based architectures leveraging automation tools and CI/CD pipelines for scalability and reliability.
• Good to have Pytest, performance tools (JMeter, K6), Implement BDD tests using Cucumber.
• Identify, document, and track bugs thoroughly, ensuring their resolution and maintaining high-quality defect reports.
• Ownership of QA Strategy & Shift-Left Implementation, Define, document, and own the end-to-end QA strategy for the product.
• Enhance QA processes by automating manual test cases and resolving broken test automation scripts.
• Develop and implement testing processes for both new and existing products to align with client needs.
• Actively participate in agile scrums, collaborating with developers, product managers, and the team to ensure strong quality assurance.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries for backend/database testing where required.
• Continuously monitor, debug, and refine testing processes to improve results and reliability.
• Stay updated on new testing tools, strategies, and trends to maintain modern and effective QA practices.
• Champion Shift-Left testing practices, ensuring early validation through component tests, API tests, service-level checks, and contract testing.
  
  

• 5+ years of experience in Cypress- Automation designing, implementing and supporting automated test solutions for SaaS products hosted on the cloud.
• Proven experience in software development and quality assurance.
• Expertise in Cypress, Playwright, and JavaScript.
• Proficient in UI, API, functional, unit, and BDD automation testing.
• Skilled in test frameworks, monitoring, performance testing, and test design strategies.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience with white box and black box testing.
• Agile team collaboration with strong test plan and case writing skills.
• Performance and security testing experience preferred.
• Effective problem-solving in ambiguous and complex technical scenarios.
• Background in product companies and B2B e-commerce highly valued.
• Experience building digital products from scratch.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and automation testing technologies.
• Focus on customer satisfaction and holistic user experience.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring abilities.
• Business acumen and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in using Git for branching, merging, code reviews, CI workflows, and automation integration
• Extensive Experience in Microservices Testing
• Validate REST/gRPC APIs, service-to-service communication, system integrations, and distributed workflows.
• Test messaging and event-driven systems (SQS, Kafka, SNS, Pub/Sub), ensuring delivery guarantees and data consistency.
