Job Summary

PwC is seeking a highly skilled professional with deep expertise in regulatory capital, Basel frameworks, and risk-weighted assets (RWA) to join our Financial Services Risk & Regulatory Advisory practice. The ideal candidate will work closely with US-based large and regional banking clients to strengthen their capital planning, regulatory reporting, and compliance with evolving supervisory expectations under Basel III/IV, CCAR, and related frameworks. The role will also include advisory on capital contingency planning, recovery and resolution plans, and GSIB surcharge compliance.

Job Requirements And Preferences

Preferred Knowledge/Skills for Role

  • Lead and advise clients on the implementation and enhancement of capital adequacy frameworks including Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and comprehensive Capital Policy development.
  • Conduct in-depth assessments and validation of RWA components across standardized and advanced approaches covering credit, market, and operational risk.
  • Manage regulatory capital processes related to CCAR, including capital plan development, stress testing, and senior management governance.
  • Provide advisory on Supplementary Leverage Ratio (SLR), capital buffers, and GSIB surcharge methodology and disclosure requirements.
  • Support the development and integration of Capital Contingency Plans aligned with resolution strategies and risk appetite frameworks.
  • Design and operationalize Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) frameworks, with particular focus on alignment to US regulatory expectations for large institutions.
  • Interpret and implement changes under Basel III/IV, as well as US-centric regulations and supervisory guidance from the Federal Reserve, OCC, and FDIC.
  • Enhance regulatory reporting architecture for Y-9C, Call Report (RCR/HCR), FFIEC 101, and Y-14 A/Q/M, including control automation and reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with data, finance, and risk teams to drive capital data aggregation, lineage, and architecture transformation initiatives.
  • Provide support in responding to regulatory examinations, addressing MRAs/MRIAs, and building risk-adjusted remediation plans.
  • Contribute to business development, including preparing proposals and delivering presentations to executive stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or related quantitative field. (Tier I colleges preferred)
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in capital risk, regulatory reporting, or Basel/CCAR frameworks within a US captive bank, Big Four, or consulting environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • FRM and CFA certification
  • Experience working with US banking clients, particularly in regulatory transformation initiatives.
