About the Role

The Senior Developer will be responsible for creating and delivering modules (new requirements or fixes) for various banking needs and resolving critical business challenges from internal or external customers. The role holder will be a key contributor to the technology organization and will maintain the engineering platform. They will execute product software development in alignment with delivery commitments and project plans.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Engage with the development team in active problem solving to identify technical roadblocks and recommend solutions.
• Help shape the technology stack and architecture of new features and applications.
• Identify, analyze, and develop interfaces and integration flows.
• Be responsible for programming and software development using various programming languages and related tools and frameworks.
• Review code written by other programmers, gather requirements, fix bugs, test, document, and implement solutions.
• Demonstrate good understanding of GoLang and microservices.
• Develop and deploy native code to manage customer-facing platforms.
• Explain complex technical issues to stakeholders in an understandable manner and recommend well-thought-out solutions.
• Apply knowledge of integration design patterns for building middleware systems.
• Utilize knowledge of web services interoperability and standards to formulate solutions in multi-vendor architecture discussions.
• Design system specifications and standards and develop solutions accordingly.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide bug fixes.
  
  

• Apply knowledge of security, logging, auditing, policy management, and performance monitoring for end-to-end process execution.
• Provide status updates and reporting metrics to program leadership to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
  
  

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  
  

• 2 years relevant experience in software development and engineering roles, with a strong understanding of GoLang and microservices.
• Proven experience in Banking, Financial Services and Insurance or Information Technology Enabled Services will be preferred.
  
  

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior developers.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in managing development tasks and ensuring quality control.
• Understanding of monitoring, updates, and security best practices.
• Ability to delegate tasks and manage project campaigns at all stages.
