We are looking for an SAP Integration Developer (EDI) to join our GMDIT team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing technical development and integrations between SAP systems and other applications (both internal and external) using SAP integration tools like SAP BTP, Cloud Integration (SAP CI), Trading Partner Management (TPM) and other relevant technologies, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality across different systems by translating business requirements into technical integration solutions. In addition, the role will require specific focus on use of SAP Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and B2B capabilities.
Responsibilities
Integration Design: Analyze business processes to identify integration needs, design integration architecture, and create detailed technical specifications for data mapping and transformation between systems
Development: Develop and configure integrations using SAP integration tools like CPI, PI/PO, including mapping, message routing, and error handling mechanisms.
API Management: Design and develop RESTful APIs for integration with external systems, managing API documentation and security.
Data Mapping and Transformation: Create data mapping rules to ensure accurate data transfer between disparate systems, including data cleansing and validation.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing to ensure the stability and quality of integration solutions.
Deployment and Support: Deploy integration solutions to production environments, troubleshoot integration issues, and provide ongoing maintenance and support.
Collaboration: Work closely with functional analysts, business users, and other technical teams to understand requirements, gather feedback, and deliver solutions aligned with business needs.
Required Qualifications
Strong understanding of SAP architecture and integration capabilities, with 7-10 years of SAP Experience.
Strong understanding of SAP business processes involving OTC, LWM, and FTP-specific modules.
Bring a strong technical foundation; be able to engage the team on architecture, design, and deep dive on sophisticated solutions, platforms, and interface design, while also educating more technical staff on the underlying business principles.
Extensive experience with SAP CI (Cloud Integration), Trading Partner Management (TPM), SAP BTP or other SAP integration tools, and IDOCs/OData/Web Services, with specific concentration on use of SAP EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and B2B capabilities.
Knowledge of integration patterns and best practices (e.g., message queuing, event-driven architecture).
Understanding of data formats like XML, JSON, EDI, and data mapping techniques.
Programming skills in relevant languages like Java, JavaScript, Groovy (depending on the integration platform).
Ability to understand business processes and translate them into technical integration requirements, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve integration issues.
Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and explain complex technical concepts.
Travel ~10%.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with Manufacturing, Medical Devices, Life Sciences industry is a strong positive.
Experience working in an international multi-cultural environment considered a plus.
Experience with SAP BTP capabilities such as Master Data Integration (MDI), SAP Build, Process Automation, AI Agents, etc.
