What would you do? The R2R Analyst is responsible for executing day to day activities relating to general ledger accounting, intercompany, reconciliations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial accounting and reporting across all business units (‘Field’, ‘BSB’, ‘Corporate’, ‘FST’), while also supporting SOX controls, commentary preparation, and audit readiness.   • Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepayments, reclasses) by gathering data from various systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Cassis, IBM, Workday) in line with the financial close calendar (eg: Accruals for missing invoices identified during the close process, Review of invoices not yet vouchered)
  • Reviews financial data and identifies the need for any adhoc journal (eg:, Adjustments based on field estimates for utilities, correcting misclassified expenses)
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities; ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
  • Conduct GL reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in coordination with field and corporate teams.
  • Support topside adjustments and post-close entries (e.g.,bonus, tax). Commentary & Analytics
  • Draft clear, insightful commentary for P&L and balance sheet variances
  • Collaborate with field finance teams to gather business context and root cause analysis.
  • Support flux analysis and internal audit reviews with well-documented narratives. Intercompany
  • Assist in intercompany matching (AR and AP balances) , discrepancy resolution, and easy claim processing across markets - Broadline, Stockyard, Field, Chef store
  • Coordinate with Trading partners, field teams to validate journal entries; review Inventory transfers between various markets
  • Perform settlements between Markets (cash or non cash)
  • Support non-trade intercompany transactions (e.g., labor transfers, allocations). Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Produce rolling forecasts in Anaplan Process Improvement & Automation
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Support the transition of manual processes to BlackLine and ERP workflows. Optimize use of various template for auto-certification in blackline ________________________________________ Skills & Competencies Accounting & Compliance
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, statutory accounting, and internal control frameworks.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance, audit processes, and documentation standards. Analytical & Commentary Writing
  • Ability to analyze financial data and write clear, concise, and insightful commentary.
  • Strong business acumen to interpret variances and trends across BUs. Communication & Collaboration
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work with field, corporate, and audit teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to grapple with ambiguity and last-minute changes
