QA Engineer Standard

Roles & Responsibilities

Manual QA Tester who will be responsible for ensuring that Kia America website function smoothly and accurately. The role involves manually checking website availability, validating UI elements, verifying backend data accuracy,

and testing promotional offers and incentive configurations.

You will work closely with AEM-based web applications, test new enhancements and maintenance tickets, compare incentive data against legal documentation, and report any issues through structured defect tracking.

The goal is to ensure every release meets quality standards before going live.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing to ensure websites are live, accessible, and functioning as expected.
• Validate UI components, layout, responsiveness, and user workflows across environments.
• Identify, document, and report defects with clear reproduction steps.
• Test and validate maintenance tickets and enhancements deployed on AEM.
• Compare incentive configurations against legal/business documents to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Update and manage JIRA tickets with detailed test results, comments, and status updates.
• Collaborate with developers to clarify requirements and resolve defects.
• Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionalities are unaffected by new releases.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in Manual QA / Website Testing.
• Basic understanding of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
• Strong knowledge of UI validation and functional testing.
• Experience using JIRA or similar defect tracking tools.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript).
• Knowledge of regression and UAT testing processes.
  
  

And Work Timings

3:30pm IST to 12:30am IST +- 1hr considering the day light savings

Monday : Can be a night shift if incase theres an issue with tickets on QA, at that point we will have to wait for developers fix.

Tuesday: Can be a night shift if incase theres an issue with tickets on STG, at that point we will have to wait for developers fix.

Wednesday : Definitely Night shift as Deployement to Prod will take place.

Thursday and Friday : No night shifts, but again if some work comes up during SCRUM call, we will have to support that.

Every 1st week of the Month we will get Incentives which we will have to test within the same day(sometimes goes on to next day if we get very late). So night shift for sure, maybe working till 7-9am IST too.
