Location: Bangalore, India (Hybrid, 3 days a week in office)

Summary

We are looking for a Tech Lead to lead the design and delivery of backend engineering for GenAI-powered capabilities in Cadency, our enterprise-grade financial platform. You will be responsible for building Python-based distributed systems that support features such as Co-pilot, RAG Search, and multi-agent orchestration.

As a hands-on leader, you will work closely with a globally distributed team, including AI subject matter experts, the UK-based Tech Lead, and the India-based PO, to ensure high-quality, testable, and scalable implementations. You will guide the India engineering team across feature development, service integration, and quality assurance processes.

What Youll Do

• Lead the engineering design and delivery of GenAI-integrated application features, ensuring scalability, testability, and production readiness in collaboration with product and architecture stakeholders
• Build and maintain Python-based asynchronous services and APIs that enable prompt orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and multi-agent workflows
• Collaborate with AI subject matter experts to integrate LLM workflows into application services and infrastructure
• Align with the UK Tech Lead on system architecture and cross-team engineering plans
• Work closely with QA engineers to define, implement, and track robust test coverage and automation
• Support CI/CD and DevOps integration for deployment pipelines, observability, and environment management
• Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery tracking
• Lead code reviews and promote adoption of engineering best practices in performance, security, and maintainability
• Mentor and support engineers in the India delivery team to ensure aligned execution and unblock issues quickly
• Represent India engineering delivery in global planning and collaboration forums
  
  

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of backend engineering experience, including 2+ years leading engineering delivery or teams
• Deep expertise in Python, with strong knowledge of async programming (async/await)
• Proven track record of designing and delivering distributed systems in production environments
• Proficient in building and consuming REST APIs
• Strong experience with SQL, data modeling, and integration
• Skilled in writing and maintaining automated tests, ideally using Pytest
• Experienced in implementing and supporting application observability, including logging, metrics, and tracing
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes for deploying backend services
• Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to lead distributed, cross-functional collaboration
• Focused on quality, reliability, and building scalable solutions.
  
  

• Exposure to LLM integration patterns, RAG pipelines, or agentic workflows
• Familiarity with LangChain or related LLM orchestration frameworks
• Familiarity with ChromaDB or other vector databases
• Experience collaborating on AI/ML-driven features in product teams
• Working knowledge of Angular or frontend frameworks for integration-level collaboration
• Background in enterprise SaaS, automation platforms, or high-compliance product domains
