Meet Our Team

The SAP AI Product Engineering Team is a vital component of the SAP Business AI unit and plays a significant role in advancing the Intelligent Enterprise. Our objective is to integrate Artificial Intelligence capabilities into all enterprise applications, enabling customers to fully leverage their business data. We are responsible for foundational solutions such as SAP Generative AI Hub, AI Core, and AI Launchpad, which assist application AI developers in embedding AI functionality within their products. The team operates from locations in Germany, Singapore, and India, fostering an environment characterised by innovation and a dynamic, start-up culture.

What Youll Do

As a Backend Developer on the Prompt Evaluation, Optimization & Metering Platform, you’ll improve prompt accuracy and billing reliability. Work with engineers, architects, and product managers to develop robust systems for prompt engineering and metering services. You will also gain expertise in metering and billing, key team responsibilities.

Your Tasks Will Include

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Python and G
• Identify and resolve data inconsistencies and billing inaccuracie
• Build systems with observability features and fault toleranc
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using agile methodologie
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospective
• Develop skills in metering and billing fundamentals to enhance domain expertis
• Use Kubernetes and Argo for deployment and workflow orchestratio
• Maintain code quality and operational readiness through automation and testing
  
  

What You Bring

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field

4–8 years backend development experience

Proficient in Python and Go

Microservices and RESTful API expertise

Kubernetes and Argo Workflows familiarity

Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure

Collaborative, adaptable to global teams

Strong problem-solving and attention to detail

Eager to learn and improve

Nice to Have

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Familiarity with observability tools and performance monitoring

Knowledge of distributed systems and data consistency models
