Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead architecture and design of Enterprise Integration Platforms such as Supergraph, Enterprise Events, and Service Mesh.
• Use data-driven insights to guide engineering leaders in adopting modern technologies and engineering practices.
• Define and standardize best practices for GraphQL Federation, Java Spring Boot microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Support annual planning, strategy development, and execution of enterprise platform roadmaps.
• Develop and maintain engineering blueprints for enterprise platforms and systems, enabling migration from legacy to modern architectures.
• Decompose complex problems into phased and incremental deliverables for engineering teams.
• Lead and participate in product demos for senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-regional teams across Australia, Vietnam, and India, including opportunities for short-term international travel.
• Translate business needs into scalable and secure technical solutions in collaboration with product managers, engineers, and architects.
• Mentor teams in cloud-native development (AWS / Azure / GCP), DevOps, observability, and secure coding practices.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, including AI/ML where beneficial to platform evolution.
• Set and govern performance, scalability, and security standards across the platform.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical governance of critical systems.

Skills Required:

• Strong expertise in Core Java, Java, and Microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Proven ability in system design, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures
• Experience with API platforms, GraphQL, messaging systems, and container orchestration
• Strong leadership in engineering strategy, platform modernization, and cross-team collaboration
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field with 9+ years of backend development and system design experience.
