Performs analysis focusing on the Finite Element modelling and simulation of high voltage electromagnetic phenomena under supervision or direction of an appropriately trained person or Manager. The primary objective is to leverage FE tools to predict, analyze, and optimize the performance of aerospace components. Helps conduct industrial research in the field of systems and materials modelling as applied to Aerospace components.

Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is our multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.

Role Summary-

Key Responsibilities

  • Modelling & Simulation of 2D/3D geometries in COMSOL Multiphysics.
  • Analysis of FE simulation of electromagnetic fields and optimization of design to meet requirements
  • Validation: Collaborate with experimental teams to validate simulation models and ensure high accuracy of simulated results.
  • Documentation & Presentation: Create detailed reports, and presentations for internal reviews.
  • Improve, challenge and simplify processes, while sharing knowledge.
  • Apply learning across the full range of work activities.
  • Provide data for report writing and produce written reports

Ideal Candidate

PhD in the field of Electrical Engineering, Physics.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in the field of Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Software Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with FEA Multiphysics modelling software(s) and its add-on modules.
  • Technical Knowledge: Background in Electromagnetics and finite element tools
  • Problem-Solving: Independent thinking, Excellent analytical skills to tackle complex, real-world engineering challenges.
  • Good Communications Skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
