Job Title: Operation Executive - Exchange and Carbon Market Trading

Job Location: Bangalore

Lead Generation

Description of the roles and responsibilities

• Identify and monitor Generators and OA consumers across States
• Identify and monitor carbon market opportunities (Buy & sale of REC/IREC/Carbon Credits) across states.
• Lead generation and acquisition of Generators, C&I consumers, Carbon Market clients across the states.
• Complete Onboarding of Clients and achieving the Yearly targets.
  
  

Oversee Regulatory Activities

• Regulatory Framework for Generator, Open access Market and Carbon Market.
• Analysing States Tariff orders, open access and carbon market regulations.
• Sound Understanding of legal/Regulatory aspects of matters related to Open Access and Carbon Market.
• Preparatory Tasks for Open Access (Infrastructure Replacement / NoC and other Clearances and Approvals required from the SLDC/Discom).
  
  

Operations

• Oversee and execute operational systems, processes, and infrastructure while looking for opportunities of improvement or revision
• Preparation of methodologies required to ease the work on operations level
• Operational procedural checking in the Trading Portal Software
• To monitor the products that are operating 24x7
• Handling the Bilateral, Collective, REC, ESCERT, IREC and Carbon Credit trades
• Checking & Uploading of POC Charges and Losses, STU (transmission Charges, Losses and
  
  

Operating Charges) & DE (Distribution Charges, Losses and Operating Charges) in internal Register.

• Correct mapping of NOC for New Client and Existing Client & updating Charges & Losses as per the NOC.
• Engage with industry experts and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
  
  

Other Areas Of Work Include

Policy, Regulations, Tariffs, Power Purchase Agreements, Commercial and Financial Due diligence, technical viability assessment (to a limited extent), Renewable Energy, Sustainability, Climate adaptation & mitigation strategies, Consulting Reports, REC, IREC and Carbon Market etc.

Qualification

• Bachelor degree with prior experience of Indian power sector (Preferably with Electrical major)
• 2+ years of experience in contracting with Generators and Independent Power Producers, Distribution Utilities, and large Commercial & Industrial Consumers
  
  

Essential Knowledge And Expertise

• Knowledge of the Power market trading
• Knowledge of Electricity Act, Grid code and open-access
• Knowledge of the functions of SLDC, RLDC and NLDC
• Knowledge of procedure of Power Scheduling
• Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills, Numerical Skills, excellent knowledge in MS Excel (macros and visual basic)
• Capacity to work without Supervision and under pressure
• Ability to work well in teams and independently
• Proven ability to manage time critical and deadline orientated workload
• Acumen to process data and prepare reports
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills that cover influencing, negotiation, consultation, conflict resolution and assertiveness
