Network Security Analyst

Introduction & Summary:

The Network Security Analyst is a critical member of the operational support team responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of firewall systems. The role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in network security and expertise in FortiGate and Check Point firewalls. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and proficiency in firewall log analysis, IP subnetting, and routing principles, coupled with soft skills in communication and documentation.

Main Responsibilities:

• Implement flows or rules on firewalls.
• Perform logical post-validation after implementation.
• Review and optimize firewall policies.
• Support security compliance and audits.
• Configure and coordinate IPSEC VPN tunnels end-to-end.
• Manage firewall policies and ensure compliance.
• Support security incident investigations.
• Handle emergency business requests for flow openings with priority.
• Regular interactions with various stakeholders including IS&T E2E PM and local IS&T Business Partners.
  
  

Key Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in network security.
• Proficient in FortiGate, Forti Manager, Checkpoint, Junos Space, and FAZ.
• Expertise in firewall log/flow analysis and flow implementation.
• Knowledge of IP subnetting, routing basics, TCP/UDP, and NAT.
• Familiarity with SIEM basics and packet capture utilities.
• Experience with Excel and Power BI.
• Understanding of security principles such as Zero Trust and policy standardization.
• Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
• Attention to detail.

• Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
