Job Description

This is a permanent role with one of the valued client of Magnuscopo.

• MEAN Stack Developer Job Description Summary/Introduction Were looking for a skilled and enthusiastic MEAN Stack Developer to join our development team.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for the entire application lifecycle, from conception to deployment, focusing on building robust, scalable, and high-performing web applications using the MEAN framework.
• This role requires a deep understanding of both client-side (Angular) and server-side (Node.js/Express.js) development, along with database management (MongoDB).
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Application Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using the complete MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js).
• Front-End Development: Create responsive, engaging, and highly interactive user interfaces using Angular and related technologies (HTML, CSS, TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Back-End Development: Build efficient RESTful APIs and server-side logic using Node.js and Express.js.
• Database Management: Design, implement, and manage data models and queries within MongoDB (a NoSQL database), ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.
• Code Quality & Maintenance: Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well documented code. Perform regular code reviews and apply best practices.
• Performance & Optimization: Identify and resolve bottlenecks, debug issues, and optimize application performance for speed and scalability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, product managers, and other engineers, to define features and deliver cohesive products.
• SDLC Participation: Participate actively throughout the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Staying Current: Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in the JavaScript and web development space. Required Skills and Qualifications
• MEAN Stack Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience with MongoDB, Express.js, Angular (specify version if necessary, e.g., Angular 2+ or AngularJS), and Node.js.
• Core Technologies: Strong proficiency in JavaScript (including modern features like ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• API Development: Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Version Control: Proficiency with Github or other version control systems.
• Testing: Experience with unit testing and debugging tools/frameworks.
  
  

Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Familiarity with GCP cloud platforms and containerization (Docker).
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with front-end state management libraries.
• Understanding of security principles for web applications.
