IBM Maximo Developer

Location: Bengaluru and Pune

Employment Type: Full-time

We’re looking for an IBM Maximo Developer to design, extend, and integrate the Maximo platform to support enterprise asset, work, and inventory management processes. You’ll build robust configurations and customizations, develop integrations and reports, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure Maximo delivers reliable, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Maximo Configuration & Development
• Configure applications, domains, workflows, escalations, and automation scripts (Jython/Python).
• Build customizations using Java/Javascript and J2EE patterns where needed.
• Implement data loading strategies for Maximo using SQL Server/Oracle/DB2 and MIF/Integration tools.
• Integrations
• Design and implement web services and integration components (REST/SOAP, JSON/XML).
• Work with middleware/ESB tools and Maximo Integration Framework for inbound/outbound interfaces.
• Reporting & Analytics
• Develop operational and analytical reports using BIRT, Cognos, or Actuate.
• Optimize report performance and data models for asset/work management KPIs.
• Mobile Solutions
• Develop and/or configure web-based and mobile solutions (Apple/Android), including responsive UI or mobile frameworks compatible with Maximo.
• Quality, Documentation & Support
• Produce clear, concise technical designs, code, and runbooks.
• Participate in code reviews, unit/integration testing, and performance tuning.
• Provide L3 support, troubleshoot defects, and drive root-cause analysis.
• Collaboration
• Partner with business analysts, SMEs, and infra teams to translate process requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to release planning and change management aligned with SDLC/DevOps practices.
  

• Hands-on development experience with IBM Maximo (configuration, customization, automation scripts).
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript and Jython/Python (or similar scripting languages).
• Solid understanding of J2EE concepts and object-oriented design principles.
• Proficiency with at least one RDBMS: SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2; able to design queries, views, and procedures; experience with data loading for Maximo.
• Working knowledge of web services and integration technologies (REST/SOAP, JSON/XML, queues).
• Proficiency with Eclipse and/or Visual Studio .NET for development workflows.
• Experience developing or configuring web-based mobile solutions for Apple/Android ecosystems.
• Familiarity with enterprise reporting tools such as Actuate, BIRT, or Cognos.
• Understanding of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and work management processes.
