Local IED Product Manager India

The Opportunity

For this managerial position we offer hybrid working model according to our India local unit’s practices. You will become part of diverse Bay Level Solutions product team which belongs to Hitachi Energy’s Grid Automation business. Our global customers operate in many segments, to whom we offer a complete portfolio of world-class IEDs. As IED Product Manager specifically located in India, you will become responsible for complete IED portfolio’s local performance and success in India.

As responsible for IED portfolio’s local performance you will collaborate with sales and many other internal functions, and you will interface with Indian customers and partners. As local product manager you will be working with IED global product managers those are located around the globe. And you collaborate with our complete team according to Product Group strategy being responsible for conception, development, marketing and supporting our sales and factories with respect to overall protection and control product portfolio used in global electrification markets’ various applications. How You’ll Make An Impact

• Leading India region’s market intelligence and technical competencies across the competitors.
• Defining market segmentation and identifying potential growth opportunities and portfolio gaps, both against the competition and new market opportunities, locally.
• Analyzing competition portfolio present in India market and building comparisons.
• Collecting and analyzing India market gaps, technical, price and cost.
• Participating in key local strategic initiatives as product expert
• Driving India product market communication strategy, being part of implementation.
• Collaborate and act as an interface between external market and several internal functions.
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background 

• You hold a B.tech or MTech in electrical and electronic engineering with 10+years of relevant experience.
• You have experience within Product Management of IED products or equivalent.
• You understand power system applications well specifically in Indian markets.
• You are an analytical leader and a team player with an independent and solution-oriented working style. You feel comfortable in decision making and customer facing.
• You are structured and able to grasp the bigger picture.
• You have a strong customer focus combined with market and competitor awareness.
• You are a curious and self-motivated person, who thrives in a cross-functional environment. With your collaborative and communicative skills, you contribute to a great team spirit.
• Strong, well-developed communication, influencing, and leadership skills.
• As you will be working in a global environment, you are not only fluent in Hindi but also in English, written and spoken alike. Willingness to travel time to time.
