Job Title: Lead Data Engineer

Location: Bengaluru/Hyderabad

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Engineer with deep expertise in Informatica and SQL to lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-scale data integration and transformation solutions. This role is heavily centered on Informatica-based development and advanced SQL engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable data integration and ETL/ELT solutions using Informatica.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance-tuned data transformations.
• Build reliable and efficient data pipelines integrating multiple enterprise data sources.
• Drive best practices in data quality, governance, performance tuning, and documentation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering team members.
• Collaborate with business, analytics, and BI stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data solutions.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of production data workflows.
• Support modernization initiatives, including migration from PowerCenter to Informatica Cloud (IICS) where applicable.
• Work with cloud or warehouse platforms such as Snowflake when required.
  
  

• 7+ years of overall experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Informatica (PowerCenter and/or IICS).
• Advanced SQL proficiency (mandatory), including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and ETL/ELT design principles.
• Proven experience leading data engineering projects and mentoring teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
  
  

• Hands-on experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
• Exposure to Snowflake or other modern cloud data warehouses.
• Experience in data migration or modernization programs.
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models
