Lead Data Business Analyst

This in-between is where Business Analysts reside, acting as a bridge between the client and team. You will establish the outcomes software must achieve, assess how it will be used, and then generate bold ideas with our developers to create custom applications. You will work with clients across a variety of sectors and ensure the business-critical software solutions we develop deliver real business value every time.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead BA will help on the delivery of the work by closely interacting with the technical leads, developers, XD and PO in the team in addition to the stakeholders that include Product teams in TechOps and Business stakeholders. The data platform team plays a key role to drive the change and build better products, solutions and process to make sure Thoughtworks achieves enduring commercial success and sustained growth and our business and operational leaders are able to make better business decisions and take faster actions, enabled by trustworthy insights & data.
• Articulate the business value and outcomes from the relatively tech focussed ecosystem that the team works in. Help in ideating and creating a product roadmap that aligns with the vision of a data enabled business.
• Able to manage and anchor multiple streams of work on the data platform.
• Break the work into Epics, features and stories. Conduct estimations within the team.
• Able to inculcate agile and best practices within the team. Able to come up with release plans/ timelines and milestones to ensure that we deliver value incrementally.
• Can anchor showcases. Iteration management, Backlog management.
• Leading the day to day delivery of the data platform. Make sure we deliver on time. Collecting the requirements and feedback from platform users and tracking it to closure.
• Consulting the data platform users on best practices and sensible defaults.
• Collaborate with TLs on technical discussions and understand the outcomes and impact of decisions.
• Make sure the product support (zendesk) work is running efficiently in the team. Join in the conversation with BI tool (Sisense) Vendor to consult on evolving our product direction.
  
  
  

Job Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Interest and experience in working with big data stack (any set of technologies is fine)
• Knowledge of infra concepts and data mesh is a big plus .
• Strong knowledge of core software development tech like APIs, storage etc.
• You have a track record of delivering impactful software, ideally on a collaborative software delivery team.
• You have attention to detail, a practical approach to the day-to-day work of story-writing and delivery and can draw a line directly from an overarching client strategy to your teams outcomes.
• You enjoy unearthing the root cause(s) of a clients pain points, validating a business opportunity or problem and partnering to deliver a solution.
• You are well versed with Agile, Lean and Continuous Delivery methodologies and love to mentor others.
• You understand how businesses operate and have experience modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques to facilitate requirement elicitation sessions.
• You have a genuine passion for quality software and know how to get from sketch to code.
  
  
  

Professional Skills

• You have a knack for prioritization, obtaining buy-in from stakeholders, and resolving conflicts as they arise.
• Understand Data platform and data mesh. Be able to understand perspectives of BAs/ devs/ data analysts/data engineers of multiple domains to help understand pain areas and work with them /do consulting as required to address them.
• Youre resilient and flexible in ambiguous situations and enjoy solving problems from technical and business perspectives.
• An interest in coaching others, sharing your experience and knowledge with teammates.
