Your role and responsibilities:

In ABB Robotics, Finance Operations is a Global shared service provided by a third party. The Financial Operations Manager serves as the strategic link between the company’s global finance leadership and the external provider responsible for executing financial operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, communication, and successful deployment of the finance operating model through a third party. The main goal of this role is to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance across global financial operations, while overseeing service-level agreements (SLAs) and the quality of outsourced services. This position combines strategic vision, financial expertise, and strong vendor management capabilities in a global environment.

This is a global role part of ABB Robotics and Discrete Automation business and is based out in Bangalore, India

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Supervising daily financial activities handled by the external provider, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting, ensuring proper application of accounting policies (USGAAP/local GAAP) and compliance with international tax regulations along with reviewing and approving periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual closings) prior to consolidation.
• Serving as the main point of contact between the Global Process Owners in ABB Robotics and the outsourced financial services provider, participating in global financial planning and support the development of standardized reporting models and coordinating internal and external audits, ensuring documentation availability and process traceability.
• Monitoring compliance with SLAs, KPIs, and contractual obligations, evaluating provider performance through quality, efficiency, and internal satisfaction metrics and proposing continuous improvements in outsourced processes to enhance automation and reduce operational risks.
• Having an active role in the implementation of the new ERP for Robotics, driving adoption of advanced financial technologies (RPA, AI) in coordination with the outsourcing partner and ensuring the security, confidentiality, and traceability of financial data.
• Ensuring outsourced finance operations are compliant, well-controlled, transparent, and aligned with policies/standards by managing risks, overseeing audits, and enforcing internal control and reporting requirements.
  
  

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
• Proven experience (15+ years) in Finance, preferably significant experience in a Finance Shared Service within global organization
• Proven experience in managing outsourced or shared service financial operations (BPO/SSC)
• Experience in process driven finance organizations, deep technology industry (preferred) and having strong transformation experience from multiple global organizations
• Experience with process automation and digital transformation and working as a strategic thinker with excellent analytical, planning and organizational capabilities
• Demonstrating integrity, strong financial and business acumen, a continuous-improvement mindset, and the ability to lead, influence senior executives, and operating effectively in a fast-paced global environment.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
