The Financial Analyst II (Level 5) will be responsible for end-to-end service delivery of Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable operations for a specific geography or country. This role partners closely with the Finance Shared Services Organization, business teams, and senior leadership to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations while supporting business growth and transformation initiatives.

This position requires a strong individual contributor who also demonstrates people leadership, ownership, and the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment. The role has regular interaction with senior stakeholders across Amazon and plays a critical part in driving team performance, process excellence, and talent development.

Key Responsibilities

Operational & Financial Responsibilities

Own and drive service delivery for AP/AR operations for an assigned geography or country, ensuring high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and controllership.

Ensure strict compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and statutory requirements.

Analyze financial data, trends, and KPIs to identify risks, improvement opportunities, and efficiency gains.

Support business growth by scaling processes, improving productivity, and driving automation and transformation initiatives.

Prepare and present financial insights, dashboards, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Serve as a key finance partner to business and operations teams, influencing decision-making through data-driven insights.

Management & Leadership Responsibilities

Perform with a high degree of autonomy; initiate, lead, and manage complex departmental and cross-company initiatives.

Manage team workload and capacity planning while establishing clear priorities aligned with business goals.

Set, enhance, and govern policies and standard operating procedures, ensuring full compliance and adoption of best practices.

Act as a finance consultant or project lead on key initiatives supporting the business or broader finance organization.

Serve as an escalation point for resolving complex and high-impact issues with internal and external stakeholders.

Drive execution of the team’s vision, goals, and operational strategy.

Develop, communicate, and reinforce team or department vision and goals, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Play a significant role in recruiting top talent, continuously raising the hiring and performance bar.

Actively contribute to the career development, coaching, and retention of team members.

Foster a high-performance culture rooted in Amazon’s Leadership Principles, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.

Strong experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or financial operations, preferably in a shared services or global environment.

Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and compliance frameworks.

Proven ability to manage complex workstreams and operate independently.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business modeling skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience interacting with senior leadership.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions and geographies.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional certification such as CA, CPA, CMA, or MBA (Finance).

Experience in global finance shared services or multinational organizations.

Exposure to process automation, transformation, or finance technology initiatives.

Prior people management or team leadership experience in a finance function.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
  • 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • Having exposure to Business Transformation / Transition related projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
  • Having prior experience in multinational organizations and/or Business conglomerates would be a plus.
  • Experience with complex problem solving using Lean / Six Sigma techniques a plus
