Supports and contributes to business operations and planning activities within an SBU, function or region.
Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
- Supports daily operational activities for the Function, SBU or region to drive the Strategic Objectives.
- Utilises metrics for capturing, analysing, and reporting effectiveness and makes recommendations for process improvements.
- Supports the coordination of timelines, templates, submissions and deadlines for key processes and project outcomes and -manages the calendars, processes and tools needed for the effective running of the Function.
- Captures, tracks and follows up on post meeting actions, driving strong interlock with stakeholders.
- Drafts and works with communications to produce materials such as business cases, board papers, presentations, executive briefs, videos, etc.
- Supports the Function’s purchasing process including vendor management.
- Recognizes issues and escalate problems through appropriate channels.
- Supports the planning and logistics for offsites and other significant function, SBU or division events and activities.
- Understand the role of indices in financial markets and their broader economic impact.
- Possess proven knowledge of equity trading mechanisms and company reference data fundamentals.
- Demonstrate a passion for financial data, particularly in the context of equity index construction, data points like, Shares Outstanding, Free Float, Voting Rights, Liquidity, Revenue, Industry Classification, Country Classification/Nationality and Investible Universe Creation.
- Identify root causes of data discrepancies and reconcile inconsistencies effectively.
- Stay updated on financial news and regulatory developments and assess their impact on FTSE Russell products.
- Assist in handling complex corporate actions across multiple index series and regions, ensuring coordination and consistency.
- Provide documentation and operational records to internal or external auditors as required, in line with governance frameworks.
- Support Client Services and internal teams in responding to methodology-related queries, ensuring compliance with protocols for price-sensitive items.
- Coordinate the preparation and distribution of client notifications and contribute to refining operational guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Incident Oversight team to resolve index-related incidents, offering operational insights aligned with established guidelines.
- Support the FTSE Equity Index - process by coordinating with advisory committees and engaging with Vendors.
